Stop Hunger Now 10-17-15

ROTARY CLUB SPONSORS MEAL PACKAGING EVENT The Rotary club of Wellesley sponsored a Stop Hunger Now food packaging event on October 17th, 2015, at the Wellesley Community Center, 219 Washington Street. Over one hundred and ten volunteers reached the goal to package 20,000 meals in under hours. A great time was had by all. The meal assembly process combines rice, soy, dehydrated vegetables and a flavoring mix. All together, including 21 essential vitamins and minerals sealed in small packages containing six servings. Meal packages are shipped around the world to support feeding programs and crisis relief. The packaged food stores easily, transports quickly and has a shelf life of two years.. Established in 1998, Stop Hunger Now coordinates the distribution of food and their life-saving aid to crisis-burdened areas around the world. For more information, visit www.stophungernow.org
